About Biomanufacturing Made Simple:
Biomanufacturing Made Simple is an independent platform dedicated to sharing knowledge and practical resources in bioprocess engineering, vaccine and biologics manufacturing.
We support bioprocess engineers, MSAT teams, professionals at CDMOs, biotech start-ups, large pharmaceutical companies, and students by providing hands-on, accessible content focused on the manufacturing of vaccines and biologics.
Our library includes white papers, eBooks, paperbacks, and articles that deliver technical insights, case studies, and best practices to help process engineers and manufacturing professionals navigate the challenges of process development, scale-up, plant design, tech transfer, and process validation.
Whether you’re scaling up a new process, building a new plant, transferring a product, or executing process validation, Biomanufacturing Made Simple is here to simplify complexity and make knowledge accessible to the biomanufacturing community.
About the author:
Hamid Trimech, 33 years old, based in Tokyo Japan is a bioprocess engineer with a decade of experience in bioprocess engineering, technology transfers, vaccines manufacturing, and CDMO operations. He was born and raised in France, in the city of Lyon. His family is originally from Tunisia. He graduated with an engineering degree in chemical process engineering at CPE Lyon and studied in Japan and Scotland as well. After graduation, he quickly entered the vaccine manufacturing industry by joining Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccine division of Sanofi. During his time at Sanofi, he worked at the global engineering department as process engineer in charge of projects in South America and Asia. He worked with several CDMOs in Asia for technology transfers and contributed to the transfer and manufacturing of a recombinant protein vaccine against COVID-19 manufacturing in Japan. In 2022, he joined a newly created CDMO in Japan, ARCALIS, Inc., to establish in Japan a local manufacturing capability of mRNA vaccines for pandemic readiness. He lead the construction of a drug substance facility and the technology transfer of the world's first approved Sa-mRNA vaccine. He currently leads Business Development operations at ARCALIS, Inc.
My goal:
Through Biomanufacturing Made Simple, I share practical insights, technical resources, and hands-on guides for engineers, students, and professionals working in the field of vaccines and biologics manufacturing. My goal is to make complex concepts clearer and support the next generation of bioprocess engineering professionals.
